I bought the Toshiba HDTV after reading the Amazon reviews and Consumer Reports and price controls. Consumer Reports rates the TV as Best Buy. This is one of the reports consumer televisions cheaper than the rates significantly. Amazon delivered the TV early. The shipping agent call before planning a day and time for delivery. Very easy to configure. The picture quality is excellent.

I did a lot of research before buying my first LCD TV. I decided on the Regza and was very please with the quality. I have not seen any LCD other than that the image quality, but many who are far from the quality of the Regza. Given my level of satisfaction with my first Regza, I bought another larger group for the new house. Once again, very pleased with the quality of images. I only have one complaint. Right loudspeaker vibrates with certain tones. Curiously, appears to be related to a certain level or quality of recording, because he is still alive. But let's say I watch a show on the Discovery Channel. For the whole program, he often vibrate. So, I'll watch a baseball game on ESPN and not feel a vibration through the entire game. However. . . I have an external audio system connected, so when I truly believe that quality, I can simply turn off the TV and turn on the receiver. This problem is probably only once, so do not let me influence Overral opinion here. Just do not want to deal with the hassle of returning the thing and wait ages to get the new one. That said, I recommend the Toshiba Regza! Jonathan Almquist Minneapolis, MN

had this TV for about 2 weeks. replacing a tube TV Existing (including Toshiba). This is Best Buy, when it was on sale for 1099. Delivery was made with the original packaging. TV was already mounted on the stand inside the box – everything you need to do is lift and place it on a TV cabinet. Standard Definition (SD) channels Search OK – IMO, all TVs (LCD, plasma) must be able to produce SD signals as good as tube televisions. E 'that the software is capable of supporting older versions. The HD channels look very good, but I do not think we have enough of them still there. Initially I had a strange problem with the HDMI connection which will prevent the remote to control the cable box, the first 10 minutes after turning on the TV and cable. after 10 minutes and resumed fine. scour the web for similar problems and found a place, but no solution. My final fix is to connect the two coaxial and HDMI cable and the problem disappeared. another surprise with an HDMI connection is not complete info captioning, so I can disable this function on and off with your TV remote. This is not a problem with the coax connection. googled and the solution seems to be hidden inside the cable box settings: To participate, you must turn the cable box off, leaving the television. If you click menu of the cable box remote control to access the options of subtitling. So far, my transition to HDTV is not as smooth as I expected, but largely the fault of television. Other things I like is the basis for the TV sits on is very broad, making it extremely stable. the screen is great matted – not thinking anything / thoughts. Overall, the TV feels solidly built as my old Toshiba tube.

I had been watching HDTV and research for some time "and had almost decided to go with a plasma, have better viewing angles and deeper blacks. I was a little "hesitant, however, about picking up a plasma because of all the" burn-in "horror stories that have accumulated over the years, so I always hoped to find a screen liquid crystal Blow Me Away, while being affordable. When I stumbled across this Toshiba, it appeared that this would be the LCD. I made several trips to big box whose logo looks like Big Yellow Tag and spent about an hour each time will compare different models as you can in a controlled lighting for retail sale. I was impressed by the black level, contrast and overall image quality of this TV. The image also appears to be cleaner than others, with jagged edges or very few artifacts. I ended up buying this TV (with 19 great expense) and take him home. The screen size is large enough to see clearly from 10 m distance, but not too bulky to carry in, unpack and burn me. It look great and feels sturdy. The light of Toshiba logo is a nice touch, but I left because it is a little "distraction. There are many photos available through a standard adjustment of a menu of options and some advanced. Many of these options are probably available on most other sets through a menu of services, which are intended to be covered by the calibration services professionals. I spent the first five hours on Saturday and a little "more about tweaking the image while watching Blu-ray Sunday, with my focus on achieving a good level of skin tones and dark black accurately. I made the parameters of what is pleasing to my eyes and thought looked damn good (maybe not a professional calibration, but I was very pleased with him). The sound is not as bad as I read in some reviews. I never tried the crackle than others, but I did not even need to increase the volume to 30, even sitting at 10 meters. So far, everything has been great, but of course with good, you get hurt. The drawbacks that I experienced were more personal inconvenience, I suppose, but I read that are inherent to the LCD (at different levels), and yet could not ignore them, after I discovered. The first is the limited viewing angle. After hours of tweaking, all should be superb head when viewed on. The situation has changed, though, when I got up and watched as I walked into the room. The black areas turn blue and the general framework loses its appearance. This has been the case if I saw any angle other than sitting on the sofa facing him. Granted, that's where I'm going to watch television but if I wanted to see cooking or entertaining guests over, it would be nicer. I was rather disappointed because I had lived in the store. Not horrible, just something I did not. In addition, there may have been exaggerated by the way the image is good head. The wide angle image can be as good as the model of last year, but improving their heads on the image, not as good on the sides. Who knows. Also several decades of research to the CRT in which the viewing angle does not change. I could do this with attention to LCD screens, but I think you can not escape unless you spend a little large. My anger was with the other non-uniform backlighting, or cloud cover in dark areas, especially along the top and upper corners ( "torch" effect). Before buying this TV, I found one account of this occurring with the Toshiba. In fact, I had forgotten and was not looking when I found myself. I did not notice that until the evening when I had the lights dimmed and the screen will be black. It is more obvious when the execution has not seen action, such as switching inputs, changing channels, etc., but it is obvious when watching movies. I did not notice this during the day but, again, one thing that I did not. It is also possible that I received a defective display. Overall, this is a great LCD for the price. I could not find a store in the same price that is closer. Great picture, super strong, and many, many options for image correction. I have not had the chance to bring another LCD monitor to see if they had the same properties at low viewing angles and uneven backlighting that makes mine so do not know if Toshiba is an exception or not. I ended up exchanging for a plasma, though, because I felt that satisfy my taste better (and it appears that burn-in is not a bigger problem), but for those looking for a screen LCD and try to spend $ 1200, I highly recommend a look at this.
